How we use your information.

• Account details — name, email address, phone number, date of birth, sex, sport and club.
• Booking details — the test you book, date and time, payment arrangement and, for online payments, the LJMU store order reference you give us.
• Health screening — your answers to the seven PAR-Q+ questions, your typed signature and the time you signed. This is special-category (health) data.
• Intake notes — your current goal, weekly training hours and anything you add in the notes box.
• Test data and reports — the physiological data recorded during your visit and the report the team writes from it.

• To take and manage your booking, take payment and send you booking emails — necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To screen you for safe participation before a maximal exercise test — we rely on your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the box on the booking form. You can withdraw it at any time by cancelling your booking or emailing us; we then stop using the answers.
• To produce your report with age- and sex-matched reference ranges — part of the service you have booked.
• To keep a record of the tests we have delivered and been paid for — our legitimate interest in running the lab, and our legal obligation to keep financial records.

• The lab team, through the staff console. Every booking email is also copied to the lab inbox and the lab lead so the team can follow up.
• Service providers who process data for us under contract: Neon (database and sign-in, hosted in London), Vercel (website hosting, London region), Brevo (email delivery, EU), and Render (report rendering, Frankfurt). None of them use your data for their own purposes.
• Nobody else. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

• PAR-Q+ answers — deleted automatically six months after your visit. We keep only the fact that a screen was signed and whether anything was flagged.
• Booking records — kept by the lab as a record of the tests we have delivered and been paid for, in line with LJMU's records retention schedule. Only lab staff can see them.
• Your account — until you delete it from the Account page, or ask us to. Deleting your account removes your profile and sign-in; the lab's booking records are kept.
• Test reports — held by the lab under LJMU's records retention schedule.

You can download everything we hold about you, and delete your account, from the Account page. You also have the right to correct your data, object to or restrict processing, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
